RV pad questions
How thick should an RV pad be?
Thicker than a driveway. For motorhomes and loaded trailers we typically pour a reinforced slab over a deep compacted base, and thicken it further where the jacks and tyres sit. We'll spec the right thickness for your rig during the free estimate.
How big does my RV pad need to be?
Measure your rig and add room to open the door, put the awning out and walk around it. We'll help you size it on site — it's cheaper to pour a few extra feet now than to add on later.
Will an RV pad crack under the weight?
Not when it's built for it. Cracking on heavy pads almost always comes from a weak base or missing reinforcement, so that's where we spend the effort — compaction, steel and control joints in the right places.
Can you tie the pad into my existing driveway?
Yes. We match the elevation and finish so it reads as one surface, and we detail the joint properly so the two slabs can move without fighting each other.
