Decorative concrete questions
What's the difference between stamped and decorative concrete?
Stamping presses a texture into fresh concrete to imitate stone, brick or wood. Decorative work is broader — color, acid stains, saw-cut patterns, borders and mixed finishes. Plenty of our jobs combine both. See our stamped patios page for pattern options.
How long does the color last?
Integral color goes right through the mix, so it can't wear off the way a surface coating does. Stains and release tones sit nearer the surface — sealing every few years keeps everything rich and protects against UV fade.
Can you match a decorative patio to my house?
That's usually the whole point. We bring samples and pick colors against your brick, stone or siding on site, in daylight, before we commit to anything.
Is decorative concrete slippery?
It doesn't have to be. Sealed smooth surfaces can get slick when wet, so we use a slip-resistant additive in the sealer on walking surfaces, steps and anywhere near water.
