Hot tub pad questions
How thick does a hot tub pad need to be?
Thicker and better reinforced than a patio, because the load is concentrated and constant. Most manufacturers publish a minimum — tell us your make and model and we'll pour to that spec or better.
Can I put a hot tub on my existing patio?
Sometimes, but only if the existing slab was poured thick enough and is still dead level. We'll check it for you honestly during the estimate rather than guess — a shell that sits on a twist is an expensive mistake.
Does the pad need to be perfectly level?
Under the tub, yes — spa shells are designed to be fully supported and level. We slope the surrounding surface away for drainage while keeping the tub footprint itself true.
How long before I can set the tub on it?
Concrete gains most of its strength in the first week. We'll give you a firm date at the pour so you can book delivery without guessing.
