Walkway questions
How wide should a walkway be?
Three feet is the practical minimum for one person; four feet lets two people walk side by side and is the usual choice for a front entry. We'll mark it out on site so you can see it before we form.
Can you pour a walkway with a wheelbarrow-only access?
Yes. Narrow side-yard runs are a big share of what we do — we wheelbarrow, pump or chute depending on the site and tell you the plan at the estimate.
Why do walkways develop lips and trip hazards?
Usually a weak or uneven base letting one panel settle. We compact the full run and space control joints properly so the slabs move together instead of against each other.
