Finishing what the builder left as dirt

Most Lehi calls start the same way

Lehi has grown faster than anywhere else in the county, and a lot of those homes were handed over with a small builder-grade slab off the back door and bare dirt everywhere else. The call we get is nearly always the same: finish the backyard. A proper patio, walkways down both side yards, steps to get from the deck to the grass, and often a retaining wall to hold the grade the builder left behind.

Decorative work, not just grey

The patio at the top of this page is a Lehi backyard — a two-tone checkerboard stained into the slab, laid out on the diagonal and cut to the shape of the yard. Stain, integral color and stamped patterns are all poured by the same crew that does the flatwork, so the decorative work isn't subcontracted out to someone who turns up after we've gone. See decorative concrete for the finishes we do.

Tight side yards are normal here

Lehi's newer lots sit close together. Where a truck can't reach, we pump or wheel it — a narrow side yard is a logistics problem, not a reason to say no.

We work around new landscaping

Sod, sprinklers and young trees usually go in before the concrete does. We protect what's there, plan the access route with you first, and leave the site clean.

Grade and drainage on a graded lot

Builder grading is set up to move water off the lot, not around a new patio. We slope the slab to keep that working rather than ponding water against your foundation.

FAQ

Concrete in Lehi — common questions

Do you pour concrete in Lehi?

Yes — Lehi is one of our busiest areas. We're based in Pleasant Grove, estimates are free, and there's no travel charge.

Can you do a stained or stamped patio, not just plain grey?

Yes. Stains, integral color and stamped patterns are all done in-house by the same crew that pours the slab. The checkerboard patio on this page is a Lehi job — we laid it out, poured it and stained it ourselves.

My side yard is really narrow. Can you still get concrete back there?

Almost always. If a truck can't reach the pour we pump it over the house or wheel it through — it costs a bit more in labour and it's worth knowing at the estimate, but a tight Lehi side yard isn't a dealbreaker.

How soon can you start?

It depends on the season — spring and fall book out fastest. Get on the schedule with a free estimate and we'll give you a realistic window rather than a date we can't hold.
